Dimobi Childrens Disability Trust provides a variety of services throughout Manchester. On this page, you’ll find out more about some of the work we undertake.
As an organisation, we believe that it is our collective responsibility to create an inclusive and fairer society hence, at the Dimobi Children disability Trust we have created a conducive environment to work and volunteer.
Our teams of volunteers and staff love what we do (our support services to children and young people living with disabilities and the carers and parents), and many volunteers give freely of their time and skills to support our daily work in the communities while others, just like to volunteer on project or event basis. No one event day is ever the same and no matter which event or role you choose to support or volunteer, we're sure you'll have lots of fun meeting some of the most fantastic and caring people when you come to volunteer for us.
Gain new skills while volunteering
Whether you want to get back in the job market or fancy building up your confidence, we are here to help you develop your skills. Volunteering with us means reaching new goals and getting involved in new experiences and learning new skills or adapting your old ones in a mutually beneficial ways that is more rewarding than you would ever know. To many that come to volunteer with us, to see how what they would have considered a little act of kindness can mean the world to someone else gives a feeling better experienced than described.
At the Dimobi Children Disability Trust, the Diversity, Equality, Inclusion, and the Wellbeing of our volunteers is very important to us. A workforce that is diverse and inclusive, we believe will help us to reach our full potentials as an organisation and that will help us in supporting our people to reach theirs too.
We have flexible hours to fit around you, so check out how you can get involved today. You can reach us on www.facebook.com/www.dimobitrust.org.uk or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Workshops and Training
We regularly seek to hold workshops with parents. These sessions are designed to educate parents and help raise awareness about learning disabilities and autism. Our workshops ensure parents know how to successfully manage the challenges they can face.
Dimobi also trains member of the community to raise awareness surrounding autism and promote tolerance. By educating communities, we work to ensure that all people are aware of the need to employ non-discriminatory attitudes toward children with autism.
The Sensory Room
Dimobi Childrens Disability Trust is interested in raising the funds necessary to construct a sensory room for children with autism. The money we raise will also go toward funding the purchase of toys for a children’s play centre. Donations are also allocated to funding our outreach team, family events and educating parents to ensure responsibilities are embraced, rather than ignored.
